Cannes is located in Southern France at the Cote d’Azur. The city is most famous for its annual International Film Festival. Not only during the festival is the city the center of attraction for celebrities in Europe. Cannes invites its guests to relax and linger on its promenade – the Boulevard de la Croisette – or at its picturesque city beach. The summers in Cannes are dry und hot, the winters are mild. Cannes has a train station, from which Paris can be reached by TGV. The public road and bus network is also well-established. Cannes can also be reached by smaller planes; the airport is called Cannes-Mandelieu.
