With almost 300,000 inhabitants, Mannheim is the third-largest city in the state of Baden-Württemberg. It is divided from the metropolis of Ludwigshafen by the river Rhine. The city’s university is located in the “Kurpfälzisch Schloss” and the city is squared. Mannheim hosts many events, such as the annual “May Market” and the “Literature Festival”. Further sights that should not be missed in Mannheim are the various historical sites like the Reißmuseum, the Old Water Tower and the Old Town Hall. The rotary restaurant at the peak of the Television Tower is also worth a visit and a walk in the Luisenpark is recommended.
