Fairs and congresses in Shanghai, China

Shanghai is the economic center of the People’s Republic of China and with around 23 million inhabitants on an area of about 6,300 square kilometers one of the most densely populated metropolitan regions on earth. Originally, it was the heart of the Chinese textile industry; at the end of the 20th century, it became attractive for foreign automobile groups. The city’s two stock exchanges are important trading venues for commercial papers and precious metals. The waterside promenade “The Bund” on the River Huangpu is a must for every visitor. From here, you can see the spectacular skyline that includes the 632 meters high Shanghai Tower. Theoretically, visitors have a breathtaking view of the city and the coast from the second-largest building in the world, but unfortunately there is too much smog to see anything most of the time. At night, guests have a stunning view of the heart of the city from the many hotel bars.
