Fairs and congresses in Warschau, Poland

With roughly 1.7 million inhabitants, the Polish capital Warsaw is Poland’s largest city. It lies in the Masovian Voivodeship in the eastern part of Poland and is the country’s political, economic and scientific center, and additionally one of the country’s most significant cultural hubs. Warsaw is considered a great venue for international companies and research associations that are interested in cooperating with Central and Eastern Europe. The number of universities and thus the study quality is the highest in all of Poland. One of the many landmarks is the Culture Palace, which was given as a present from Stalin to the young People’s Republic to demonstrate socialist power, but is a cultural venue nowadays. With several museums, movie shows, theatre performances as well as rented premises for seminars and concerts of all kinds, it is deeply embedded in the city’s heart. Thanks to the Fryderyk Chopin Airport downtown and the Modlin Airport 50 km from Warsaw, the city has good international connections. The railway system within Poland and abroad (for example to Berlin) is also well-developed.
